SUDOKU FACTS
Did you know that modern Sudoku was developed in the U.S.A.? As far back as the late 19th century, there were different versions of Sudoku in Europe that allegedly led Indiana’s Howard Garns in 1979 to develop what was then called “Number Place”. In 1984, it was introduced in Japan where it is still generically known as Nambapuresu. Sudoku was the name used by the original newspaper that published the game in Japan.
